Education & Training
St Catherine’s Hospice is a specialist provider of high quality training and education in End of Life and Palliative Care. We provide regular updates for our own staff, other health care professionals, carers, patients and the general public.
We work with a wide range of providers, other Hospices and the education sector to raise the quality and awareness of End of Life Care wherever we can. Currently, we are delivering a large education programme to over 100 rest and care homes in Central Lancashire, a palliative care programme for District Nurses, sessions for Social Services and we are a preferred supplier for the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership.
We also work closely with UCLan and the University of Manchester Medical School to offer placement opportunities to trainee nurses and doctors.
St Catherine's Hospice has a comprehensive range of training opportunities on both clinical and non-clinical subjects. This includes study days, placement opportunities and conferences.
