St Catherines Hospice provides specialist palliative care services in the following areas:

  • In-patient Care
  • Day Care
  • Lymphoedema Services
  • Community Services through Clinical Nurse Specialists
  • Family Support, Bereavement Support and Chaplaincy
  • Physiotherapy and Complimentary Therapies (including Creative Arts)
  • Special support services that include our Medical Secretaries, housekeeping, catering and Day Care transport

Job Title Fundraiser
Hours Full Time (37.5hrs Per Week)
Salary £21,500 (£19,350 During Probationary Period)
Details

We are looking for an ambitious person to assist in the planning and development of activities including; sponsored events, corporate events and other fundraising activities both internally and externally organised. The ideal candidate will; share ideas and opportunities with other members of the Income Generation Department and to identify and research new activities.

Candidates must ideally:

  • Have previous work experience in a public facing role
  • Experience of event organisation
  • Experience of project working
  • Strong administration and organisational skills and the ability to multi task
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Job Title

Administration Assistant (Fundraising Dept)

Hours Part Time (20hrs PW over 3 Days)
Salary

£8485.33 (£7636.80 During Probationary Period)

Details

We are looking for a highly motivated and efficient administrator to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Fundraising Team.

The ideal candidate will have responsibility for processing correspondence accurately and efficiently. You will be organised, flexible with excellent communication skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

Job Title

Bank Staff Nurse (Part Nights)

Hours Minimum of two shifts per month (although shifts cannot be guaranteed)
Salary

£13.04 Per Hour ( This includes consolidated pay for working out of standard hours)

Details

Applications are invited from nurses ideally with at least two years post registration experience.  Candidates must:-

  • be available to commit to a minimum of two shifts per month (although shifts cannot be guaranteed)
  • be registered on part 01 or 12 of the NMC register
  • have well developed interpersonal skills
  • be enthusiastic and resourceful
  • enjoy team working
  • be keen to enhance their practice skills

Salary

£25,500 (£22,950 during probationary period)

(Includes consolidated pay for working out of standard hours)

Candidates must:

  • Be registered on part 01 or 12 of the NMC register
  • Have, or be willing to work towards, a recognised qualification in palliative care e.g. ENB 931/285, NP 2440 or equivalent
  • Be enthusiastic and resourceful and keen to enhance their practice and skills
  • Enjoy team working
  • Be caring and compassionate
