St Catherine’s offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities for all ages. There are hundreds of volunteers who help us in our charity shops, with finance, administration, serving drinks to patients, fundraising, maintenance, gardening and so on.
Volunteers work throughout the Hospice and many others help at events, in our shops, as drivers and elsewhere in the community.
St. Catherine’s Hospice could not exist without the support it receives from volunteers. Volunteers are at the heart of the Hospice and are essential to the services we provide, they are flexible in their availability, bring a rich variety of skills and most importantly volunteers give their time and talents freely which helps the Hospice to bring a much higher level of service to local friends and neighbours in need of specialised care.
Time is so precious, can you spare some of your time to support your local Hospice?
A few hours can make such a difference to the care provided for patients and their families. There are many different opportunities and a wide range of activities that you can become involved in. Sometimes it is possible to arrange volunteer hours to fit in with a person's other commitments and training is can be provided where it is needed.
