St Catherine's Hospice held its very first Christmas Fayre last Saturday and it was such a success that plans are already taking shape to make it even bigger next year.

Over five hundred people supported the event and Santa was kept busy in his grotto all day with children telling him their Christmas wishes.

Rachel Hewitt, Head of Trading says “we’re absolutely delighted with the response and we’ll definitely be doing it again next year but on a much bigger scale. We couldn’t keep up with the demand on some stalls - the home made jams sold out in less than hour and our kitchen ran out of their delicious mince pies.”

Many of the items that were on sale are still available in the reception shop while stocks last.

A group of talented and creative volunteers have been working non-stop since the summer and have surpassed themselves yet again with the range and quality of Christmas gifts.
