St Catherine’s Hospice announces new positions on its Board of Trustees
A number of rewarding positions have been announced for the Board of Trustees at St Catherine’s Hospice, to further improve quality of life for people facing life-shortening illness in Central Lancashire, and to make a difference to the lives of patients and their families.
We’re seeking to welcome three volunteer trustees with commissioning, information systems, and financial expertise, to help expertly guide the hospice through the ongoing impact of the Coronavirus pandemic and beyond.
As a registered charity, St Catherine’s is governed by a Board of Trustees that oversees our varied work – from our specialist care to our fundraising activities. Board members provide strategic direction, monitor performance and ensure that the charity has sufficient funds to deliver its services and meet the needs of local people as effectively as possible.
Like any well-respected organisation, one of the keys to our continued success and reputation is excellent governance, and we are now seeking to strengthen our Board by securing three new appointments:
• Commissioning – a trustee with experience of commissioning health services and with an understanding of future strategic priorities for the health and social care system
• Information Systems – a trustee with high level experience in digital transformation and strategic leadership of information systems
• Finance – a trustee with experience in finance at a senior level with demonstrated business and commercial awareness and knowledge
Initial application is by way of CV and a covering letter summarising your interest in joining the Trustee Board at St Catherine’s, and an outline of what you think you will be able to contribute to the charity’s governance and performance.
For an informal discussion with the CEO about the role, please contact PA Hollie Dring – firstname.lastname@example.org / 01772 629171.
More information about applying, time commitments, roles and responsibilities, and the selection process, can be found in the attached information pack. The closing date for applications is Monday 23rd November.
