Understanding Bereavement – for all (March)

This bereavement session is both informative and interactive using video, group discussion and reflection.

You will explore your own feelings about loss and bereavement and learn about the ways in which bereavement affects people. You will also look at your own coping strategies for dealing with people who have been bereaved and learn how you can help the people you come into contact with. 

You will learn:

  • What bereavement is
  • What grief is
  • The cycle of grief, using the Kublar Ross model
  • The difference between normal and abnormal grief
  • What advice and support we can provide to people who are bereaved
