Virtual Study Session – Understanding Bereavement

St Catherine’s Hospice Knowledge Exchange Team have developed new Interactive Training sessions in order to continue providing a programme of high quality education.

This bereavement session is both informative and interactive using video, group discussion and reflection.

You will explore your own feelings about loss and bereavement and learn about the ways in which bereavement affects people.

You will also look at your own coping strategies for dealing with people who have been bereaved and learn how you can help the people you come into contact with.

What will I learn?

  • What grief is
  • The ‘cycle of grief’ (using Kubler Ross model of grief)
  • The difference between ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ grief
  • What advice and support we can provide to people who are bereaved

This session will be delivered ONLINE by St Catherine’s Hospice. You would need to have access to a computer or mobile device with internet connection, a webcam and a microphone.

Please note attendees must log into the event via the invite received from St Catherine’s Hospice 15 minutes before the start.
