Introduction to Hospice Care (October)

This session is open to EVERYONE including members of the public, patients, families, supporters and volunteers, as well as health and social care professionals

This one-day course aims to dispel some of the misconceptions that surround hospices, and raise awareness of the reality of hospice care and the difference it can make.

All of our services – whether delivered from the inpatient unit at St Catherine’s, in the community or within people’s own homes – are here to help patients and their loved ones to have quality of life, to the end of life. This session will explore the different ways we do that, and showcase how our community can become further involved in this important work.

What will I learn?

  • How the hospice movement and St Catherine’s started
  • Our charity and how we raise funds
  • Our services
  • How to be referred
  • A day in the life of a member of the hospice team
  • Job and volunteering opportunities

This session is FREE to attend. If you are interested, simply fill out the form below and we will be in touch. Alternatively you can call the education department on 01772 629171.
