Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge

Yorkshire Three Peaks posterJoin ‘Team St Catherine’s’ in our latest adventure and hike the three tallest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales – Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge includes around 25 miles of hill walking, taking around 12 hours to complete.

None of the routes include any scrambling, and no running is required to complete the challenge in 12 hours.

Professional mountain leaders will accompany you throughout the challenge, providing navigation and expert knowledge, as well as safety equipment.

It’s an early start, with transport leaving from the hospice in Lostock Hall at 5.15am ready to start the challenge at 7am. A return coach is provided and will set off back at around 7.15pm, arriving at approximately 9pm.

A minimum sponsorship of £250 is required for us to cover our cost and raise money for the charity, helping us to continue our important work of caring for local people with life-shortening illnesses at the hospice and in people’s own homes.

So if you’re up for the challenge and enjoy fell walking and beautiful scenery, sign up today and make a real difference to a worthy local cause.
