To Access Day Therapy and Out-Patient Clinics

Patients attending day therapy need to travel to the Hospice to access services. Where people don’t have their own transport available, or cannot rely on lifts from family or friends, St Catherine’s has an excellent team of volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles to provide transport to and from the Hospice.

If a patient has special requirements – such as oxygen provision or wheelchair access – the Hospice can arrange transport by ambulance or in some cases with a volunteer. In special circumstances, patients attending outpatient clinics can also travel by ambulance.

To Arrive on the In-Patient Unit

Transport via ambulance for patients being admitted to the Hospice’s In-Patient Unit is usually arranged by their GP or the hospital from which they are being transferred.
