Room hire

St Catherine’s Hospice has two conference rooms available to hire for meetings and events, as well as a further room at The Mill – our café and community hub within St Catherine’s Park.

Conference facilities at the hospice are located on a separate side of the building away from our direct patient care services, and can therefore be used flexibly to suit meetings and events of all shapes and sizes.

The Mill is an 18th Century barn lovingly restored and renovated into a modern two-storey building with a traditional rustic feel. It stands on the site of a former cotton mill and features a welcoming café on the ground floor and the Lostock Room on the first floor.

The cafe itself is available to hire after 5pm each day, and is fantastic venue for celebrations of all kinds – from birthdays and anniversaries to weddings and corporate events. The Lostock Room is a very versatile space which is suitable for everything from training sessions to baby shower afternoon teas.

All set within the gorgeous grounds of St Catherine’s Park, our rooms provide a perfect meeting venue – as visitors can escape the city whilst remaining within easy reach of major roads and motorway networks including the M6, M61 and M65.

All rooms benefit from Wi-Fi, audio-visual capabilities, flip charts and projectors, which come as standard with the room hire.

Use your event to support an important local charity

When you choose St Catherine’s Hospice or The Mill, not only do you benefit from a professional and experienced events and catering team, you are also showing your commitment to a much-loved local charity.

That’s because all profits raised through the hire of rooms, and event catering through The Mill and The Mill Outside, go towards funding our specialised care for local people.
