A safe, clean and welcoming environment is vital to our work at St Catherine’s Hospice and The Mill Café – could you join our Housekeeping team and help us continue to deliver the high standards we’ve become known for?
It’s a rewarding role at the heart of the local Charity, which has a direct impact on those we care for and the customers we serve.
We need a committed, hard-working and approachable team-player, who is able to respond flexibly to the requirements of the Hospice in order to cover holidays and sickness.
This permanent role will be part of the Housekeeping team working across all areas of the Hospice and The Mill Café.
There are a number of shifts available so, as part of your application, please indicate which shifts you would like to work. The available shifts are:
- Thursday – 2.30pm to 6.00pm (3.5 hours)
- Saturday – 7.00am to 10.30am (3.5 hours)
- Sunday – 7.00am to 10.30am (3.5 hours)
- Sunday – 10.30am to 5.00pm (6 hours)
Candidates must:
o Have previous professional cleaning experience
o Have a knowledge and experience of using cleaning equipment
o Have an understanding of/training in moving and manual handling techniques
o Have good communication and interpersonal skills
o Be physically able to carry out the duties of the post
o Be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to changes in workload/duties/priorities
