Finance and Business Manager
Location: St Catherine’s Hospice, Lostock Hall, Preston (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £46,714 per annum (37.5 hours per week)

An opportunity has arisen and we are seeking a Finance & Business Manager to lead our Finance Team and Promotions (Lottery) Team in delivering an effective finance and business services across the Hospice and its subsidiaries. This role is key to promoting financial awareness, probity, robust controls, and providing insightful management information to support the achievement of the Hospice’s wider strategy and business plan.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the Finance Team to deliver a professional financial service
- Take ownership of the Promotions subsidiary company, including development of strategic plans
- Business Partner with managers and provide expert, professional advice and coaching on their departmental accounts and financial matters
- Develop annual budget and periodic reforecasts
- Support/Lead on financial and commercial aspects of projects in the Hospice or its Subsidiaries
- Manage and develop financial controls, ensuring compliance with financial and other standards
What we’re looking for:
- Recognised financial qualification(s) at AAT Level 4 or significant relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience of financial responsibility for management accounts, payroll, budgeting and financial controls
- Good business partnering experience utilising excellent communication and influencing skills
- Effective line management and motivation of staff
- A values driven person who leads by example
