A reason to smile
Karen Clark is running in the London Marathon in memory of her dad and in support of St Catherine’s Hospice.
“I’m not very fast” says Karen, “but the sense of achievement when I finish is great!”
Karen and her husband have been lucky enough to get places in this year’s London Marathon. Karen has decided to do her run for charity. “The question” said Karen, “was which one?”
Then she remembered that when her dad was ill with cancer in 2006 it was suggested that he visited St Catherine’s Hospice. “He wasn’t sure, but he went” said Karen. “He came back on the first day and said what a happy place it was and with such nice people. He went a few more times and always came home smiling. He sadly died later that year. So I thought, why not raise funds for St Catherine’s who made my dad smile?”
Thank you Karen and good luck!
