Accountancy firm hands over more £250 to St Catherine’s
A Preston bookkeeping firm has raised £250 for St Catherine’s through a scheme which sees them donate a percentage of their fees to the charity.
AFM Bookkeeping and Accountancy in Fulwood introduced the scheme whereby 0.5 per cent of all fees are given to the hospice. They also have plans to introduce fundraising events in the future, as the company grows, with the aim of raising further important funds for St Catherine’s.
Francesca Musu, managing director of the company which provides a variety of services including payroll, VAT returns, self-assessment returns and management accounts, said: “I have been personally supporting St Catherine’s since 1999 when my Grandma sadly passed away at the hospice.
“The care and support she received, and the aftercare for the family, was truly amazing. In 2010 we were back again, this time with my Grandad. I was older to witness more for myself the care that he received, and again the aftercare the family received. We will forever be grateful, and which is why my family and I do all we can to raise funds.
“Too much will never be enough for this wonderful charity.”
