Alison’s marathon effort for St Catherine’s!
A keen runner pounded the pavements of the capital taking part in the London marathon in support of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Alison Taberner completed the world famous race in an amazing 4 hours 40 minutes and raised a brilliant £1,357 for the hospice.
Her achievement follows two previous marathons – the Preston Guild race in 2012 and the London marathon last year.
Alison said: “The whole experience was really enjoyable! There is a great atmosphere around the whole course.
“My Nanna was in St Catherine’s in 2013 for a short time and I wanted to find a way to say thank you. Me and other members of my family have done the Preston 10KM/ 5KM races the last two years to raise money for St Catherines – I would love to do other events too to help raise funds. “
