APG continue to support St Catherine’s Hospice
Leyland based APG Domestic Services has undergone a range of fundraising activities over the past sixteen months in support of the hospice.
Staff at APG, which specialises in heating, plumbing and renewable energy solutions, decided to support St Catherine’s Hospice as the firm’s chosen charity.
Over the past sixteen months they have undertaken a range of fundraising feats in aid of the hospice. These include; Blazing Paddles competition to earn the title of Dragon Boat Champions2015 and 16, sponsoring the hospice as their chosen charity, and a boiler prize draw at the Preston Guild Games and St Catherine’s annual Yellow Day.
APG also makes a donation for each invoice they receive.
Peter Gerrard APG Managing Director said: “We are chuffed to bits to have raised a total of £1,700 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
“Our aim is to cover the cost for a day of the Day Therapy Unit and Community Nurse Specialist team – we’re more than half way there of reaching our target of £3,300.”
St Catherine’s senior fundraiser, Lynne Whittaker said: “We’re extremely grateful to APG for choosing the hospice as their chosen charity.
“Over the past year they have undertaken a range of different fundraising events, which have helped ensure the hospice can continue providing care and support through the Day Therapy Unit – which people with life-shortening illnesses attend for a wide range of medical, nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatments -and the Community Nurse Specialist team, caring for people in their own home.”
