Bitemnies using baking skills to support St Catherine’s
Bitemnies used their baking skills to support St Catherine’s Hospice with a cake sale which raised £100.
St Michael’s Bitemnies in Ashton set up the cake stall at St Michael’s Church on Mother’s Day – giving local mums the chance to be treated to something sweet on their special day!
Helen Carney, St Michael’s bitemnie guider, said: “Every year St Michael’s Bitemnies raise money for different charities.
“This year the girls and Leaders wanted to help St Catherine’s Hospice by baking cakes and running a cake stall after Church Parade.”
In total the event raised £100 which will be used to support the specialised care and support the hospice provides to people affected by life-shortening conditions in the local community.
Emma Jacovelli, fundraiser at St Catherine’s, said: “Just looking at the photographs from the day makes our mouths water!
“The cakes look fantastic and we’re very grateful to the Bitemnies for all their hard work in baking up such tasty treats which have raised vital funds for the hospice.”
