BLOG: Fashion Edit – The capsule wardrobe
“A capsule wardrobe is a cut-back selection of a few pieces that are interchangeable”, says Suzie, our Retail Operations Manager here at St Catherine’s
“It’s a great way to declutter, do your bit for the planet and create several outfits that flex through the seasons. And it saves time when choosing what to wear in the morning!”
How do you achieve it? Start with your current wardrobe. “Store anything out of season, and then have a clear out,” says Suzie, “Ask yourself: ‘Do I actually wear it?’ Then donate anything you don’t need to a St Catherine’s shop.”
Next, think about your own essential items. “Whatever’s right for the life you live.” Suzie adds, “For me, it could be classic black boots, a versatile scarf, or pairing a blazer or a mac with jeans to dress up a casual look.” If something’s missing from your list, head to your nearest St Catherine’s shop.
“You can find so manyhidden gems to fit your style,” Suzie says, “And you’ll be giving back to your local community, too. Your small act of kindness helps us care for patients and their loved ones across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble’’.
