Brother and sister duo raise money for charity!
Siblings Jack and Heather Crank showed their support for their local hospice by spending the summer holidays selling their unwanted toys for charity.
The pair wanted to do something with their long break after getting the idea to support St Catherine’s through their school.
So both Jack, aged 11 and Heather, aged nine, decided to set-up a stall outside of their house, to get rid of unwanted toys and raise money for St Catherine’s.
On offer were teddies, computer games and more; with one of the most popular items on sale being yellow minions!
And that’s not all that the youngsters have been up to in their summer holidays. – both Jack and Heather loved coming to St Catherine’s family fun day, Yellow Day, in June.
“We came to Yellow Day and we really enjoyed it,” said the dynamic duo.
“We thought it would be a good idea to sell our unwanted stuff and give the money to charity. We have a teddy mountain in our house because we have so many that we’ve collected over the years.”
Dad, David continued: “Grandma was meant to come to St Catherine’s about five years ago, but she fell too ill to come here before she died, so it’s always a place we like to support.”
