St Catherine's Hospice > Car raffle helps drive funds for hospice care

Car raffle helps drive funds for hospice care

DSC_2348St Catherine’s annual car raffle is set to get pulses racing as Preston’s Bowker Motor Group has once again sponsored this exciting fundraiser.

This year’s prize, organised through the hospice’s lottery team, is an eye-catching MINI One 3-door Hatch, which will be out and about in Lancashire over the coming months.

Since joining forces with Bowker MINI on Preston Docklands, the car raffle initiative has raised enough to run the whole charity for over a week, making a vital contribution to the lives of patients and families across Preston, South Ribble and Chorley.

Chris Reid, Sales Manager at Bowker MINI said: “This is the fourth year we’ve supported the St Catherine’s Hospice Car Raffle. We’re delighted to support the raffle; we know how it raises much-needed funds for this important local charity. We’d encourage as many local drivers as possible to buy a ticket and support the cause.

“Each year the MINI raffle generates even more awareness to keep the charity in the hearts and minds of Lancashire communities.”

Head of promotions at St Catherine’s, Sheila Kennard, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Bowker Motor Group for sponsoring our car raffle for another year; it really goes a long way towards our fundraising efforts and makes such a difference to local people living with conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease, cancer, heart failure and MS.

DSC_2364“We’re also very thankful to our 17,000 lottery members, who help provide ongoing funds and help us to budget and plan for the future.”

Car raffle tickets are £2 each and the winning ticket will be drawn on 27th July. Lottery tickets are £1 for each weekly draw with a £2,000 jackpot and other cash prizes, including a rollover which can go over £5,000.
