Contingent make donation to hospice
A group of women from the Philippine Community continued their support for St Catherine’s with a donation of more than £400 to the hospice.
The girls, Maya Evenson, Roselyn Turner, Priscilla Benham, Delia Boast, Lyn Helm, Lyn McBride, Gina Lawson and Abi Brewer had in the past hosted a Filipino themed Christmas party with proceeds from previous events going to the hospice.
However, the group this year decided not to organise their annual event, but that didn’t stop their fundraising efforts with the group making a donation of £410.55 to the hospice.
One of the organisers, Maya said: “We made the donation to St Catherine’s as we believe they’re doing a great job in helping those who need support and care, at the most difficult of times.”
Emma Jacovelli pictured far right alongside the St Catherine’s lottery team said: “We’d like to thank the group for their continued support to the hospice. Their generous donation will contribute to funding the specialised services St Catherine’s provides when it matters most.”
