Cutting hair for local care!
A Bamber Bridge hair salon dedicated a day to St Catherine’s Hospice to mark the store’s first year since opening.
Stephanie Burrows, owner of local salon ‘B Inspired’, organised a charity day in aid of St Catherine’s because she, like many of her clients, felt a ‘connection to the hospice’.
On Saturday 20th June 2015, all profits from the day went to St Catherine’s, right from the first to the last customer.
Lots of hair and hair dye later, Stephanie raised a grand sum of £400 for the hospice.
Local businesses also chipped in with raffle prizes, whilst customers were treated to cake and wine whilst they had a trim.
“I wanted to do it for my local charity,” said Stephanie. “My Gran was cared for there, and a lot of people
know it, and a lot of people are touched by it.
“It was just another day at work really, but a bit more relaxed. We had all sorts of treats available and it was a lovely day, and we’re just glad we can make a difference in some way.”
