Deborah wins our Christmas Raffle jackpot!

A recently retired nurse is the lucky winner of our £4,000 Christmas Raffle.

Deborah Burrows, 59, from Preston, receives the hospice’s newsletter, and entered the raffle after reading about how it helps raise vital funds for our charity.

The grandma-of-two says: “I always enter the Christmas Raffle, it’s my way of donating to the hospice – I also donate items to the shops – but I never expected to win!

“I’m going to spend my winnings on a nice holiday and some home improvements.”

Sheila Kennard, head of lottery and promotions at St Catherine’s, says: “Congratulations to Deborah on her amazing win – it’s great to hear that she’s looking forward to treating herself to a well-earned holiday in her retirement.

“Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas Raffle this year, helping to raise funds for the specialist care provided by St Catherine’s to local people affected by life-shortening illnesses, at the hospice and in people’s own homes.”
