St Catherine's Hospice > Give A Gift to St Catherine’s this Christmas & help end anniversary appeal on a high!

Give A Gift to St Catherine’s this Christmas & help end anniversary appeal on a high!

Give a Gift Christmas appealSt Catherine’s Hospice is asking supporters for a one-off donation this Christmas which could help them end their 30th anniversary Give A Gift appeal on a high.

One of the outstanding items on our birthday gift list asks for 300 donations of £30 – a gift of £1 for every year the hospice has been open.

If they reach their target, enough money would be raised to cover the cost of the in-patient unit and their community services for a day.

Recognising that Christmas is an expensive time of year, St Catherine’s is asking 300 people to consider a £3 text donation if £30 isn’t possible, which would raise a fantastic £900 to help the hospice deliver its care this Christmas.

Lorraine Charlesworth, Director of Income Generation at St Catherine’s, said: “Christmas is a very important occasion here at St Catherine’s and we work hard to make the time as special as possible for those patients and families who are accessing our care.

“For some, this can mean festive fun and games and turkey with all the trimmings, while for others it might be a more tranquil, peaceful time for reflection. However people want to spend their Christmas, we will do what we can to help make it happen.

“By supporting us with a £30 Christmas gift, you can help us deliver this specialised care and really make a difference at this time of year. If we can meet our target, we will dedicate New Year’s Day to the supporters of our Give A Gift appeal through our Pay for a Day scheme. We think this will be a fitting tribute to the wonderful support we have received both at Christmas and throughout 2015.

“We do of course recognise that the festivities are an expensive time, so if a £30 donation is not possible, we’re asking people to consider sending us a £3 donation via text message. This is a really quick and simple way to show your support and please be assured that every penny and every pound really does make a difference.”

You can watch a special festive video message below sharing our thanks with all our wonderful supporters for their support during our 30th anniversary year.
