Gladrags at the ready for black and pink ball
St Catherine’s supporters are invited to wear a ‘Touch of Pink’ at a special black tie event this summer in support of Breast cancer patients in the region.
Mr Jeyaram Srinivasan, a Consultant Plastic surgeon at Preston and Blackburn Hospital, along with his wife Krishna, are hosting a ball this June to support their local hospice as well as Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Mr Srinivasan, from Preston, said: “In 2010 and 2012 we raised over £28,000 collectively for Rosemere & St Catherine’s Hospice. We have decided to hold another charity event and show our support for both these organisations. Our ‘Touch of Pink Charity Dinner and Black Tie Ball’ is planned for Friday June 16th.
“The ball is a great way to bring together the local community to support the work of two worthy local charities and have an enjoyable evening.”
St Catherine’s donor development officer, Emma Jacovelli, said: “Guests are in for a truly fabulous evening at the charity dinner with a whole host of entertainment, canapes and drinks reception, three-course meal, raffle and auction.
“We’re extremely grateful to Mr and Mrs Srinivasan for choosing to support St Catherine’s Hospice. Their support means we’re able to continue providing specialised care to people who are facing conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease, cancer, heart failure and MS, so they can avoid unnecessary time in hospital and experience a good quality of life, and when the time comes, comfort and dignity in death.”
The Ball will be held at Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, Blackburn. Tickets are £55 and can be bought from Krishna on 07860 627720.
