Glam up for Moonlight and Memories Walk with St Catherine’s charity shops

Fulwood shop Moonlight Walk display (2)Families and friends gearing up for the St Catherine’s Moonlight and Memories Walk are being encouraged to dress to impress and bag a bargain from the charity’s shops.

The hospice’s boutiques and clothing stores across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble are showcasing a variety of pink and purple garments and accessories for the charity’s biggest fundraiser, on Saturday 1st July.

Anyone not already registered can also sign up for the four-mile or 10-mile sponsored treks at any of the 16 shops, as well as the hospice’s onsite café and community hub, The Mill.

Fulwood shop Moonlight Walk display (4)Head of trading at St Catherine’s, Rachel Hewitt, said: “As well as proudly wearing the pink Moonlight and Memories Walk t-shirts on the night, our supporters go all out to accessorise, personalise and decorate their outfits for this very special occasion.

“We’ve put together lots of wonderful stock which has been generously donated to our shops, and developed eye-catching window displays in the run-up to the big night. All of the outfits and accessories are for sale and are perfect for those wanting to stand out at the fundraiser!

Chorley's MMW window display (6)“It’s also easier than ever to sign up for the walk, with people able to register in store, at The Mill, or on our website, or by visiting or ringing the hospice.”

She added: “The Moonlight and Memories Walk is very important to St Catherine’s and our amazing army of supporters – it brings hundreds of people together to remember and celebrate their loved ones, as they proudly pound the pavements to help raise vital funds for their local charity.

“Every penny donated goes towards patient care, helping people to have quality of life, to the end of life.”
