Leyland accountants ‘dress down’ for St Catherine’s Hospice
Colleagues from RfM Chartered Accountants have been ‘casually’ fundraising for St Catherine’s.
Staff from the practice in Leyland, have made a generous donation of £800 raised from ‘dress-down days’ held each month and a Christmas Jumper Day in aid of the hospice.
Marketing co-ordinator, Alison Winstanley, said: “We chose to fundraise for the hospice because we know how important the specialised care is to the community.
“Last year my colleague and I came to visit the hospice and we were able to see first hand the important work that is done and what a worthy cause it is.”
St Catherine’s donor development officer, Emma Jacovelli, said: “We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from RfM Chartered Accountants, whilst enjoying dressing down and dressing up in their Christmas jumpers they have raised a significant amount of money that will enable the Hospice to continue providing a unique range of services to help people who are facing life-shortening illnesses.
“This generous donation of £800 means we’re able to continue providing specialised care to people who are facing conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease, cancer, heart failure and MS, so they can avoid unnecessary time in hospital and experience a good quality of life whilst maintaining their independence, and when the time comes, have comfort and dignity in death.”
