Mayor’s carol concert will hit high notes for St Catherine’s
A candle-lit Christmas carol concert held in the historical Preston Town Hall Chamber will get people in the festive spirit whilst raising vital funds for St Catherine’s Hospice.
The ‘Carols in the Chamber’ event takes place on Friday December 12th, featuring a programme of festive music and traditional carols performed by the Octavius Choir.
The evening, being held in support of St Catherine’s Hospice, the Mayor of Preston Cllr Nicholas Pomfret’s charity of the year, will also include Christmas Recitals.
Cllr Pomfret said: “The evening offers a unique start to the Christmas festivities, together with an opportunity to support St Catherine’s Hospice.
“The chamber by candle light is a delightful setting for this special evening, and we’re extremely lucky to have these talented singers and musicians performing for us.
“I hope people will come along and show their support, whilst enjoying a memorable evening of festive music.”
Tickets are £10 and include reception drink and Christmas canapes on arrival. There will also be wine, mince pies and scones on sale in the function room following the event, with the further funds raised going to the Lostock Hall hospice.
Space is limited in the chamber and tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To book call at the hospice reception in Lostock Lane, Lostock Hall, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
