Penwortham delivery driver cycled 60 miles for his local charity
Delivery driver Kent McGuinness cycled the 60 miles from Manchester to Blackpool in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Keen sportsman Kent, from Penwortham, undertook a variety of training over five months before the ride, such as a 10 mile ride and 45 mile ride, in order to prepare himself for the challenge.
He said: “St Catherine’s Hospice is my local charity; I have supported the hospice along with my nan and grandad for many years.
“The weather on the day of the ride was great, which made the cycle more enjoyable – I completed it in four hours 45 minutes, which included break times.”
He donated £351 in sponsorship to the hospice from completing the feat.
