PNE strip for St Catherine’s!
Preston North End have unveiled their all-new PUMA 2012/13 away kit and special edition third shirt.
The limited edition third shirt is a striking pink jersey that won’t be on the shelves for long and the club have confirmed that for every special third shirt sale a donation of £5 is coming directly to St Catherine’s Hospice.
Last season, St Catherine’s was the Club’s official charitable partner under the Football League’s Help for Hospices initiative.
This new pledge demonstrates the Club’s continued support of charities while giving fans the opportunity to get hold of a further unique shirt.
Talking about the side’s new look, manager Graham Westley commented: “It will certainly be a different look for what will be an all-new Preston North End side for the start of the 2012/13 season.
“Supporters can see the Club is going through a lot of positive change in terms of playing staff, so this new and vibrant strip is in keeping with the direction we’re going in.
“It is great to see the Club will be donating proceeds from the third strip to two charitable partners which displays the Club’s great work within our community.”
Upon wearing a PNE kit for the first time, new signing Nicky Wroe added: “I was delighted to be the first player to wear the new shirt, it made me realise what an honour and a privilege it is to join a Club like Preston North End.
“It is a fantastic strip and I will be looking forward to running out in it come the start of the season.”
St Catherine’s senior fundraiser Lynne Whittaker, said: “It was great to have worked with Preston North End Football Club last season and we’re looking forward to another year in partnership with the Club.
“We are extremely grateful of the Club’s continued work in relation to our charity and we hope that the new kit is a huge success.
“The funds raised with help St Catherine’s Hospice continue to be there when it matters most for our patients and their families”
