Pound the pavements of Preston for St Catherine’s!
St Catherine’s Hospice is appealing for members of the community to take part in a popular run through Preston to raise money for the charity.
Registration for the annual Run Preston, which this year takes place on Sunday September 28th, is now open.
There are two distances to choose from – 5km for those aged 11 and over or 10km – for those aged 15 and over.
The hospice can help with items including a running T-shirt or vest and sponsorship forms, as well as hints and tips for fundraising.
Emma Jacovelli, fundraiser at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “We’d love to see lots of St Catherine’s Hospice logos pounding the pavements around Preston on September 28th!
“This is a really special run event as it’s taking place right on our doorstep. It would be wonderful if runners in this very local race chose to support a very local charity with their efforts.”
The 5k is capped at 1,000 runners and the 10k is capped at 2,500 runners. The deadline for entries is Friday September 19th.
The event will also include a host of entertainment and activities set up on the area around the Flag Market, with the whole family invited along to cheer on those taking part.
