Pounding the pavements to support the hospice
A nurse pounded the pavements in the biggest half marathon in the world to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Nurse consultant Nick Horne took part in the 13.1 mile Great North Run in memory of his mum Rosemary Ann Bullivant.
She was cared for by St Catherine’s before her death at the hospice in November 2007.
Nick, who was cheered on by his wife Anna and daughter Niamh, crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 1 hour 54 minutes 07 seconds.
In total he has collected more than £500 to support the specialised care of the hospice.
Nick said: “St Catherine’s has always been a charity close to my heart.”
