Preston restaurant raises funds for St Catherine’s Hospice
A family-run restaurant has raised funds for St Catherine’s Hospice through a series of fundraising nights earlier this year.
Touch of Spice, based in Preston, organised two charity nights which saw more than 100 people attend each event.
Guests enjoyed a four course meal of Indian cuisine, a raffle and auction and live entertainment from X Factor finalist Louise Heatley.
Touch of Spice manager, Iky Patel, said: “Both nights were a huge success, the atmosphere was great and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
“We chose to support St Catherine’s Hospice because it’s a local charity which helps many people in the community.”
St Catherine’s fundraising officer, Hayley Jackson, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Iky and all the team at Touch of Spice for supporting St Catherine’s Hospice and raising £196 through their fundraising events.
“The support we receive from people in the community, like everyone at Touch of Spice, means we’re able to continue providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people across Central Lancashire.”
