Pupils on their marks at St Catherine’s Rudolph Rumble
A Lancashire primary school got on their marks for a festive fundraising run in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Cedars Primary School in Blackburn organised their very own sponsored Rudolph Rumble around the school field in which 100 enthusiastic students took part dressed up in reindeer antlers and red roses.
Pupils were treated to an authentic ‘fun run’ experience with start and finish lines, medals and post-race refreshments.
It was the first time the school had been involved in the hospice’s festive events and they said that students and staff alike had really enjoyed the experience.
Cedars is one of several schools across the area who have been organising fundraising events in aid of St Catherine’s in the run-up to Christmas.
Senior fundraiser Norman Cutler said: “It was great to welcome Cedars school on board this year and we’re very impressed with the event they put on and the enthusiasm that the pupils showed.
“The funds raised will be a great boost towards the care St Catherine’s provides at Christmas and throughout the year.”
