School-girl Layla supports St Catherine’s Superstore

School-girl Layla Frier was delighted to receive a letter from St Catherine’s advising that her beautiful bedroom furniture had raised nearly £200 for the hospice after she donated it to our Superstore!

Now the nine-year-old is a dedicated St Catherine’s supporter and has even signed up for the Moonlight and Memories Walk this Saturday, when she’ll take part with her dad Tim – one of the charity’s trustees.

The three-piece pink furniture set – made up of a bed frame, wardrobe and bedside cabinet – raised £158 on sale. Because Layla’s parents had also gift aided the donation, we were able to claim another £39 back from the tax man, raising a brilliant £197.

Tim said: “Layla was over the moon when she received the letter from St Catherine’s telling her how much the furniture she’d donated had raised – it was just as exciting for her as getting her bedroom decorated! It really made her day.

“It was so convenient that the St Catherine’s team came to collect it, and it’s really nice to know that the money raised is contributing to such a good cause.
