Street collection raises funds for St Catherine’s
A long-standing supporter of the hospice movement helped organise a street collection for St Catherine’s Hospice and raised a fantastic £842.
Suleman Khonat and other members of the Muslim community held the collection in Preston city centre.
After raising funds for East Lancashire Hospice for several years, he was inspired to do something to show his support for St Catherine’s.
Suleman said: “It was great working alongside like-minded brothers and sisters in Preston. We do a fantastic job in Blackburn for East Lancashire Hospice and it was a pleasure to assist.
“St Catherine’s Hospice provides fantastic facilities for patients with life limiting illness – hence its extremely important to keep up with donations, which enables them to provide the highest standards of service. I wish to thank all the staff at the hospice and who helped with the collection and more importantly all those who donated.”
