St Catherine's Hospice > Wills Week is a win-win scheme

Wills Week is a win-win scheme

Wills Week A4 poster 2016 version 2-page-0Please note that we have taken all the bookings we have capacity for, for 2016’s Wills Week. Thank you to everyone who has made enquiries and booked appointments.

If you haven’t got round to writing a will yet, this November is the ideal chance to cross it off your ‘to do’ list.

That’s because throughout Wills Week, which this year runs between the 14th and 18th of November, participating local solicitors are waiving their will-writing fees in return for a donation to St Catherine’s.

Last year, more than £20,000 was raised for the hospice during Wills Week.

St Catherine’s senior fundraiser, Lynne Whittaker, said: “Wills Week is the perfect time to get your affairs in order to give yourself and your family peace of mind that your wishes are formally recorded.

“It’s something which people often put off doing because it seems daunting, but local solicitors are on hand to offer their expert advice.

“The fact that you can help raise thousands of pounds for the hospice in the process makes it a win-win situation, so I’d really encourage you to consider booking an appointment this Wills Week and really make a difference.”

A minimum donation of £95 is required for each will, or £145 for mirror wills.

Solicitors taking part this year are:

Birchall Blackburn, Preston, Chorley and Leyland
Ellen Fay, Preston
Forbes, Preston and Chorley
Harrison Drury, Preston and Garstang
Marsden Rawsthorn, Preston and Chorley
Vincents, Preston, Longridge, Garstang, Chorley, Penwortham and Lytham
Worralls, Longton
John Whittle Robinson, Preston
Chadwicks, Leyland
