X-Factor finalist to perform at charity night for St Catherine’s
X-Factor finalist Jonjo Kerr will be performing at a charity night in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice on Friday.
The talented singer will take to the stage at Bamber Bridge Catholic Club on Friday May 23rd. There will also be entertainment from local singer Rebecca Hunt, as well as a raffle andauction with a host of fantastic prizes to be won.
The event has been organised by Katie Sharples, James Menko-Mankeiwicz and Andy Proctor in memory of their friend Dawn Morley, an inspirational young womenwho sadly died at the hospice in April at the age of just 34.
Before the event on Friday, Andy’s sister Helen and Jonjo will be going under the ink at Bill’s Tattoo Parlour in Chorley – having aSt Catherine’s Hospice butterfly tattoo!
Helen, whose nanna was also cared for at St Catherine’s three years ago, said: “We thought it was something different I could do which would raise some money for a great cause.
“Andy mentioned it to Jonjo and he said he’d be up for it too! I’m not sure whether to have it on my arm or below my collar bone yet – I think I’ll take some advice on where it might hurt less! I’ve had one tattoo before so I know what I’m letting myself in for.
“We organised a charity ball a couple of years ago for St Catherine’s and are keen to continue supporting the great work they do – this is just another, albeit more unusual way, of doing that!”
Andy added: “The event on Friday is going to be fantastic and we’d love to see as many people as possible come and join us for an evening of great music and entertainment.
“Dawn was an amazing woman and we wanted to do something in her memory for St Catherine’s, a cause which is already very close to my heart.”
