You beauty! Salon hosts Christmas gift evening and raises £565 for St Catherine’s!
A beauty salon organised an exclusive Christmas gift event which attracted scores of customers and raised more than £550 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Natalie Smith, who owns The Therapy Room in Hoghton, hosted the evening which offered guests the opportunity to purchase gift sets and gorgeous jewellery just in time for Christmas.
Visitors were also treated to prosecco and canapés and invited to purchase tickets for a fantastic raffle. Prizes included a teeth whitening set donated by Sharoe Green Dental Pratice, meals at The Boars Head and The Old Oak in Hoghton, vouchers for Gusto in Bamber Bridge, a personal training session with instructor Emma Lambert and a hair cut and finish at Scissor Sisterz salon in Bamber Bridge.
In total the event raised a fantastic £565 which will be used to support the specialised care of St Catherine’s Hospice, where Natalie’s mum Judith works as a nursing assistant on the in-patient unit.
Natalie, from Leyland, said: “I’m really thrilled to have raised this amount of money for such a wonderful cause. I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along on the night and to all the local businesses who donated such fantastic raffle prizes.
“I know first-hand through my mum how important the care St Catherine’s provides is to the local community. As we approach Christmas, it was important to me to do something to give back and raise some funds to support St Catherine’s over the festive season.”
