Social groups can help you connect with others who may be experiencing similar experiences of grief or loneliness. Group support can help you feel less alone and can improve mental health. The groups listed aren’t specifically bereavement support but are social opportunities where you’ll receive a friendly welcome and can meet other people.

  Meet with local people for friendly conversations in a warm and welcoming environment.

• Regenerage Activity Centre
  Regenerage (formerly Age Concern Central Lancashire) helps thousands of people each year to live well and age well by providing a huge range of positive activities such as Zumba, pilates, tai chi and line dancing, to social opportunities such as Knit and Natter, Gardening Gang, and coffee mornings at a range of venues.

• South Ribble Friendship Groups, Leyland  
  Ideal for adults of all ages, come and make new friends at these informal and welcoming sessions. Run in partnership between the council and NHS Community Development team. For more information or any questions, please email cad@lscft.nhs.uk  There are two sessions a month.
