BRAND NEW: Symptom Management for Care Homes (fully funded course) - November - St Catherine's Hospice

BRAND NEW: Symptom Management for Care Homes (fully funded course) – November

Places are available free of charge as this programme has been fully funded. Please note that once you have filled in the booking form, you will be asked to go to your basket and proceed to checkout – the checkout process is required to complete the booking, although you will not be asked to provide any bank details.

St Catherine’s Hospice works with care homes across Lancashire to share our specialist skills and knowledge of palliative and end of life care, through a range of study sessions and training courses. We aim to equip staff with the tools and confidence to help residents achieve their end of life wishes, including their preferred place of death, and to reduce GP and district nurse visits and hospital admissions.

This two-hour session is designed for care home staff who:

  • Are required to deal with common end of life symptom management
  • Need to be aware of what medications may be used
  • Are interested in learning more about syringe drivers and when they may be used
  • Would like to learn some useful tips for when using syringe drivers

If the above applies to you then – this course is for you!

This session will be delivered online by St Catherine’s Hospice. You would need to have access to a computer or mobile device with internet connection, a webcam and a microphone. Please note attendees must log into the event via the invite received from St Catherine’s Hospice 15 minutes before the start.
