Story
Dad spent a few weeks at St Catherine’s in the lead up to him passing, and the staff were nothing short of amazing with him. He felt so safe while he was there and really didn’t want to leave.
Dru and I are heartbroken that dad has passed away, he was an amazing father in law to Joanne and Tony and the best Grandad ever to our kids Dan, Tom, Nat and Lauren.
Dad was a very proud man, and wouldn’t accept that he was getting too old to do certain things. He was always in his garden, and there was many a visit to A & E due to injuries whilst gardening, yet he carried on regardless, and it wasn’t unusual to find him hanging from a ladder with his hedge cutters in his hands cutting trees back that weren’t even in his garden.
He also thought nothing of climbing on top of chairs to get to a light bulb, or something at the back of a cupboard that he couldn’t reach. Needless to say, Tony was forever dashing up to get him down. We have had many “entertaining” times viewing the cameras that we put up for his safety, and thank goodness we did !!
He always did things his way, and sod the consequences which drove us mad, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Dad, you were the best and we all miss you so very much but you are now at peace and reunited with your beloved Marjorie.
We love you both so very much

St Catherine’s were a great support for my family when my dad was poorly. They came and rescued us when we didn’t know we needed rescuing. Sending you all lots of love ❤️
