Story

Joanne’s sense of humour, love of life and of her family will always be remembered by her family, by her many friends and colleagues. Joanne, wife to Craig, mother to Rachel & Aimee, grandmother to Mason & Hallie, passed away on the 2nd October, a few days after her 61st birthday which was made special by the lovely nursing team. We would also like to pay tribute to the exceptional staff at the hospice for the love and care shown to Joanne by raising as much money as possible to ensure that other families receive the same support as we did. Joanne, you are gone but you’ll never be forgotten.

At 2.30pm on Friday, 31st October, Joanne’s family and many friends & work colleagues gathered at Charnock Richard Crematorium to say goodbye and reflect on her life. We gave her the send off she deserves.

Although we have achieved the initial target of £500 (thank you to those that have donated), we would ask people to keep donating to this incredible charity.

Thank you

Joanne, we started working together very early on during Covid, a team brought together during difficult times, your sense of humour soon showed and made a strange time much easier for me to deal with. Very quickly changing from a colleague to a special friend and although we have not known each other long, it’s a friendship that will stay with me forever. You were taken too soon, I will always carry you in my heart. My thoughts are with Craig and all your family at this sad time xx

Joanne, it was a pleasure to have worked with you we made everyday fun and we laughed so much with our singing and dancing in the office.

A very special lady taken far too soon. I met Joanne through Covid when we were in a very strange time. She was always breaking into song with our mutual friend Lesley and we were always laughing due to the random requests and people we had do deal with. in the office. She will be missed by her friends, work colleagues and family. It was a pleasure knowing you though for a short time. Rest in Peace lovely lady. xxx
