Graphic Designer

Design to make a difference

We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Team to help shape our new brand identity and bring St Catherine’s story to life through powerful, purposeful design.

As our Midweight Designer, you’ll play a vital role in helping people understand, value, and support the hospice’s work. You’ll help to develop creative concepts and produce compelling visuals across print, digital, video, and animation – ensuring our brand is consistent, accessible, and emotionally engaging at every touchpoint.

Whether it’s designing fundraising campaigns, creating content for social media, or developing tools that empower our teams to communicate confidently, your work will directly support our care and community engagement.

About the Role

As Graphic Designer, you will:

  • Use your creative flair and innovative ideas to shape our new and evolving brand and messaging
  • Develop creative campaigns that bring our brand message to life
  • Design visual assets for brochures, leaflets, posters, social media, email, and our website
  • Create short-form video and animation for storytelling and supporter engagement
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver multi-channel campaigns that build awareness and support
  • Own projects from brief to delivery – bringing fresh ideas and attention to detail
  • Help embed our evolving brand identity across the organisation
  • Develop brand templates and brand tools to support colleagues
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure high-quality outputs, on time and within budget
  • Keep up with trends in design, fundraising and community engagement

What We’re Looking For

  • Creative Experience:
3–5 years in a design role (charity, agency or in-house), with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and impactful design across print, digital and video.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Skills:
Confident producing a wide range of assets – from fundraising materials and publications to social media graphics, email visuals, and short-form video content.
  • Technical Expertise:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro), with solid knowledge of design best practices and accessibility standards.
  • Project & People Skills:
Highly organised and collaborative – able to take a project from brief to delivery, juggle multiple deadlines, and work effectively with colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Values-Driven:
Emotionally intelligent, empathetic and resilient – with the awareness to handle sensitive subject matter and the passion to communicate our mission with care and creativity.

Why Join Us?

There’s never been a more exciting time to join St Catherine’s Hospice. Since 1985, we’ve provided expert, compassionate care to those who need it the most —and now we’re looking ahead to the future with a bold new brand and renewed ambition.

By joining our team, you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping that future. You’ll join a supportive, purpose-driven team with opportunities to grow professionally while making a tangible impact on our community.
