St Catherine's Hospice > Bark In The Park 2015 – Bigger And Better Than Ever

Bark In The Park 2015 – Bigger And Better Than Ever

P1040125This September, Bark in the Park returns with a new venue and a whole host of new events that will make the day impawsible to turn down!

As ever, St Catherine’s will be hosting its 2.5 mile sponsored walk, with Avenham Park the venue on Saturday 19th September, from 11am until4pm.

This year however, the fun doesn’t stop there, with all sorts of paw-some events prepared to get  tails wagging!.

This year, we’re working with Preston Agility Dogs (PADS), Dogtastic and Preston City Council to host the event, and the afternoon promises to be bigger and better than ever.

As well as the sponsored walk, we’ll be hosting a competition with 10 different categories from the scruffiest to the handsomest dog, to the most obedient pooch, and even the dog with the waggiest tale!

We’ll be hosting displays to mark the occasion with a sheepdog and shepherd performance, and an agility and obedience display on offer, with members of the public able to get involved for the cost of a small donation.

For those who fancy a thrill, a fairground will also be set-up close by offering a bit of everything for everyone on the day.

Pinewood Vets of Leyland and Chorley will be offering free micro chipping to every dog, and we’ll also be welcoming  Dogs Trust, Guidedogs for the Blind, Dogtastic and many more, who will be able to offer their advice about any canine queries you may have on the day.

There’s even the opportunity for your business to get involved, with pitches on offer for just £20 per stall.

If you’d like to sign up for the sponsored walk, registration is just £3 in advanced and £5 on the day. For more details and to book your place, follow the link here.

Dog or no dog, everybody is welcome to Avenham Park for the ultimate dog’s day out!
