School reunion raises £200
Two friends organised a school reunion and raised £200 for St Catherine’s at the same time as catching up with old pals!
Fiona Southworth and Bev Palfrey organised the event for those who left All Hallows School in Penwortham in 1987.
They were inspired by the death of six contemporaries of theirs, three from cancer, and decided a get together which helped raised money for a good cause would be a great way to celebrate their memories.
Around 90 people came together for the event at St Teresa’s Parish Club in Penwortham and enjoyed catching up about the previous 28 years!
A collection bucket on the bar also gathered donations for St Catherine’s – and raised an fantastic £200.
Fiona said: “It was a brilliant night which everyone enjoyed – the only problem was that it went too quickly!”
Bev added: “Now we’d like to do another one – maybe in a couple of years to mark 30 years since leaving school.”
