Youngsters put their dancing shoes on to raise cash for St Catherine’s Hospice
Members of a local dance group used their passion for dancing to support the work of St Catherine’s Hospice.
The group of 16-25 year olds from Reeders Dance Studio in Preston organised a dance show and raised a fantastic total of £511.
Bill Reeder, owner of Reeders Dance Studio, said: “We’ve raised money for St Catherine’s before as many of our long standing pupils received care from the hospice and some died there too.
“We all think St Catherine’s Hospice is a great cause and the care they provide to people in the local community is excellent.”
Around 200 guests attended the night at St Michel’s in Fulwood where they were entertained by a variety of performances including street dance, ballroom and Latin.
Guests were also entertained by a successful raffle which raised more money for the hospice at Lostock Hall.
Money raised from the event will allow the hospice at Lostock Hall to continue offering their specialised care to the people of Chorley, Longridge, Preston and South Ribble who are living with serious illnesses.
