Yellow Ribbon Day

Enjoy a family-fun day out in support of St Catherine’s Hospice at our popular Yellow Ribbon Day garden fete.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a host of entertainment, activities, food and attractions in the beautiful grounds of St Catherine’s Park, including a fairground and petting zoo.

It’s free entry, and there will be plenty of stalls with local traders selling handmade crafts, clothing, toys, books and much more; dancers and singers to keep you entertained throughout the event; lots of games and fun for all the family including a tombola and ‘splat the rat’, and delicious food and drinks including a barbecue from The Mill Outside.

We’re also excited to bring a brand new attraction to this year’s Yellow Ribbon Day – cheer on contestants in our Truck Pull between 1pm and 2pm, or click here to take part in this one-of-a-kind charity challenge. We’ve joined forces with Leyland Trucks for this adrenaline-filled fundraiser.

Our gardens will be decorated with beautiful yellow ribbons tied in memory of special people during Yellow Ribbon Day and throughout June and July. Please click here to make your Yellow Ribbon dedication.

*Parking arrangements*
A free Park and Ride shuttle bus service will operate throughout the event from the large Leyland Trucks car park off Croston Road, which visitors are encouraged to use. Please note that parking on neighbouring roads is not permitted.
Parking on site is reserved for disabled guests, patient visitors, customers booked at The Mill café, and staff and volunteers working at the event.
The main entrance to the hospice via Lostock Lane will be closed from 10am, with authorised vehicles entering from Todd Lane South/St Catherine’s Way.
Thank you for your cooperation – we’re looking forward to welcoming you to this great day out for all the family!

If you’re attending Yellow Day as a stall holder or performer, you should have received information from us about where to go and when to arrive on the day. However, if you require any more information, please call 07938487913.
