Specialists from St Catherine’s Hospice will be joined by fellow experts in the fields of psychology and palliative care for the charity’s annual Knowledge Exchange conference.

Confirmed speakers and topics include:

• Dr. Dominic Bray, Consultant Clinical Health Psychologist, Head, Merseycare NHS Trust Clinical Health Psychology Dept and Author of ‘Living Well with Cancer: a Solution-Focused Approach’, will discuss his take on what good conversations leading to well-lived lives look like

• Dr Jen Pomfret, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Psychology CRG Vice-Chair, will explore assessments and the use of language

• Maureen Howe and Claire Cain, Physiotherapists at St Catherine’s Hospice, will discuss their experiences of using a rehabilitative approach to psychological care

• Jennifer will share her lived experience of having a cancer diagnosis, and then finding herself struggling to deal with the impact of that on her life. When her mental health began to deteriorate, seeing Dominic Bray was recommended to her
